The firm

Who we are

Marcon & Associés is a bespoke boutique law firm in the heart of Monte-Carlo, registered and duly authorized by the authorities of the Principality of Monaco. By design, we serve a select number of clients: established families, entrepreneurs, banks, financial institutions, and corporate groups, many of them with a presence across five continents.

The firm

Marcon & Associés was authorized to practice in the Principality in 2013, when Richard Marcon established the firm out of his partnership at Lexwell. Since then it has advised clients from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Germany, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, Kuwait, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as Monaco and France, on their transactions, their structures, and their investments.

Lionel Escaffre joined as a partner in early 2026. The two met on the teaching committee of the compliance certificate run by the International University of Monaco with the Association Monégasque des Compliance Officers, one chairing it for the association, the other for the university.

Both partners teach. Both consider that a practice of this kind owes something to the jurisdiction in which it works, and not only to its clients.

How we work

Direct, partner-level engagement on every matter. No template documents, nothing reused from one client to the next. Our deliberately small structure is what makes that possible, and it is also what allows us to work with the confidentiality our clients expect.
